Guillaume Bardet

Occupation: Designer Guillaume Bardet was born in Rouen in 1971, where he lived until the age of fifteen before moving to Paris. At the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, from which he graduated in 1999, he met Jean-Marie Massaud, with whom he worked until June 2001. Now independent, he develops his own creations in collaboration with companies from France (Dix heures dix, Vivendi Environnement, Triode, Louis Vuitton), Belgium (Aquamass) and Italy (de Vecchi, Livit’ ). Selected in 2003 by VIA (an organization promoting French design in the furniture industry in France and abroad), he created his Paranox luminaire, now under study by an Italian publisher. Selected again by VIA the following year, he presented the Equilibre luminaire at the Paris furniture fair in January 2004. During his stay at the Villa Medici, he worked on nine marble pieces, the whole of which, entitled “Mobilier immobile”, was exhibited at Galerie Yves Gastou in October 2003. In September 2004, he presented a collection of bathtubs designed for the Aquamass company at the Now show.
