Profession: Photographer Born in France in 1973  Malik Nejmi is a contemporary artist of French-Moroccan origin. His father’s story, emotional ties, family, and childhood spent between two countries feed his photography and writing. Immigration and the in-between territories become the themes of his work, just as cultural diversity is part of his field of work. His project for Villa Medici follows the anti-fascist movements of Senegalese street vendors in Florence and Rome following the murder of Samb and Diop in December 2011 by an extremist from the Casapound political group in Italy.
