Laurette Polmanss

Profession: After graduating in cinema and philosophy, Laurette Polmanss entered the Femis film school at the age of 20, in the directing section. She graduated four years later, having had the opportunity to learn her trade and meet many of her future collaborators. Her graduation film, Bon week-end, was shown at several festivals in France and abroad. In the years following her graduation from the school, she   works as a script reader, mainly for France3 cinéma and Warner, but also for the CNC, Arte’s fiction department, Les Films Pelléas, and for various competitions (Emergence, the  Femis, CECI writing residencies at Moulin d’Andé, etc.). Laurette directed two other short films, Tout est trop grand, (CNC quality award in 2001), and Anna (3kgs2), (Prix de la Critique for best French short film in 2003). She has just completed a twenty-minute short film, Une fille normale, with the same production company as her previous two, Les Films Pelléas.
