Alice Grégoire et Clément Périssé

Born in 1984 in Lille, France, Alice Grégoire is an architect (DE). A graduate of ENSA Versailles, she has been teaching architecture there since 2014. Since 2010, she has been working for OMA/Rem Koolhaas.

Born in 1984 in Rennes, Clément Périssé is an architect (DE-HMONP). He studied architecture at the ENSA Versailles and in Rome. From 2012 to 2018 he worked for OMA/Rem Koolhaas.

In 2015, Alice Grégoire and Clément Périssé founded Cookies with Federico Martelli and Antonio Barone. Cookies, an architecture and design agency specialized in cultural projects, based in Rotterdam. Cookies created the space setting for the piece Studio Creole (Hans Ulrich Obrist and Adam Thirlwell) for the Manchester International Festival, and contributed to Countryside, Rem Koolhaas’ research exhibited at the Guggenheim in New York, through the chapter Buying is Saving concerning the preservation of natural spaces in Chile. Cookies is currently producing a system of retractable showcases for the Humboldt Forum in Berlin as well as a line of furniture made from architectural fragments.

The project they are carrying out at the Villa Medici is entitled Nature, un manuel pour architectes – à la recherche du matériau architectural au cœur de la nature sauvage (Nature, a manual for architects – in search of architectural material in the heart of the wilderness) and aims at overturning the traditional opposition between nature and architecture, by placing the act of building in continuity with the natural environment.
