For two evenings, Villa Medici is delighted to host the thirteenth edition of the Festival della Bellezza, which this year focuses on the theme “Il Simbolico”.
Four exceptional guests will take over the Bosco terrace for the festival: playwright Arianna Porcelli Safonov, musician Coca Puma, psychoanalyst Umberto Galimberti, and journalist Dario Fabbri. Offering breathtaking views of the Eternal City, the Bosco terrace provides a unique setting for this artistic and literary gathering under the Roman sky.
Umberto Galimberti “The Mystery of Beauty: Between Wonder and Symbolism” – June 3, 7:30 pm
Beauty is a symbol. A surplus of meaning, a heightened depth of meaning.
A marvel that overwhelms.
A reference to another dimension where the sensible and suprasensible converge.
Coca Puma concert – June 3 at 9:30 p.m.
The artist will perform on his only summer date with a special duo concert for the Festival della Bellezza on the spectacular terrace of Villa Medici à Rome.
Sinuous, sensitive architectural crossroads, rhythmic trajectories, dynamically balanced timbres.
Vibrations that seduce and transform in sound spaces to be traversed.
Lecture by Dario Fabbri “Symbols and the destiny of peoples” – June 4 at 7:30 p.m.
Thoughts in motion, myths conveying fears and ambitions, collective psychologies, biohistorical memories: ethnography of beliefs and aspirations, aggregated ideas and perceptions that trace the course of events.
The world observed through different points of view.
A broader vision, beyond myopia, to explore who we are and where we’re going.
Arianna Porcelli Safonov’s monologue “The Twelve Consternations” – June 4 at 9:30pm
Sarcastic stellar influences on unconscious contemporary humans.
