Profession: Art historian Born in Paris in 1974, he specializes in the study of 17th and 18th century French painting. In 2004, he published a monograph on Noël-Nicolas Coypel. The same year, he defended his thesis on Joseph Parrocel at the Université Paris IV-Sorbonne, which he published in 2006. He then turned his attention to the study of battle painting, spending a year at the Villa Medici working on the subject. This research resulted in several articles and a book,
