Emmanuel Lurin

Profession: Art historian Born in 1975, studied art history at the Sorbonne University Paris-IV, where he obtained a doctorate under the supervision of Alain Mérot (subject: Etienne Dupérac: l’invention d’un architecte à la Renaissance). He has published, among others, “De la boutique du libraio au fresques maniéristes: l’usage des estampes de vues urbaines dans la vie culturelle à Rome au XVIe siècle” in O. Bonfait and B. Marin; “L’image peinte de la ville , XVIe-XVIIIe siècle Italie-Europe” (proceedings of the Villa Medici and Ecole Française de Rome symposium, December 1-3, 2003), and “Un artista francese a Bagnaia? Stefano Duperac e le ville laziali del secondo Cinquecento”, published in the Proceedings of the Viterbo International Colloquium on the Villa Lante in Bagnaia (Viterbo, Palazzo dei Priori, March 18-20, 2004).
