David Serero

Profession: Architect David Serero (Grenoble, 1974) is a DPLG architect, graduating from the Paris Villemin School of Architecture in 1998 and with a Master of Architecture from Columbia University in New York in 2000. He won first prize in the international competition for the Hellenikon urban park at Athens airport and the open-air theater competition for the Athens Olympic Games. In 2002, he and the Degré Zéro group he co-founded won the Nouveaux Albums des Jeunes Architectes award in France, as well as the “Young Architects Award” from the Architectural League in New York. In 2003, he was selected to design the memorial for the victims of September 11, 2001, in New York, and for the Urban Beach competition at PS1/MOMA. David Serero’s projects have been presented in exhibitions in France and abroad, including the Pavillon de l’Arsenal, MOMA, the Architectural League of New York and the 8th Venice Biennale. He has taught architecture at the Pratt Institute in New York and at Columbia University.
