Profession: Photographer … The questions that motivate and structure my photographic project in Rome are: A city, people and work in the broadest sense: What is work? Who works? When is a person working? Recognized and unrecognized work? Is it possible to perceive and represent this boundary between time worked and time not worked? Can this boundary appear in a specific space? Does a place bear its history? Does a body carry its history? Does a job have its own history? Work as a space of constraint or freedom? In work, we need to distinguish between different times that define different attitudes, actions and gestures… In what physical and mental position is an individual working? How does the body fit into a private, public or urban space?
