Natacha Lesueur’s work is essentially photographic. Her artistic preoccupations revolve around the body, appearance, pageantry and the intimate relationship between the bodily envelope and the inner self. Through a series of images constructed like tableaux, the body is subjected to a variety of treatments that combine constraint, staging and masking.

Profession: Plastician Since 1993, Natacha Lesueur has used the body as a surface for inscription, a more or less regular support for the culinary preparations or imprints she deposits on it. A coveted object, this body has been subjected in various series to treatments that are at once constraint, staging and mask – adornment or camouflage. One of the constants in her work has been the negation of the face, the locus of identity singularization.
