Villa Medici is delighted to host the exceptional concert of the 23rd edition of the Rome Chamber Music Festival, to be held at the Teatro Argentina from June 18 to 21, 2026.
Designed as a foretaste of the June festival, the concert features works by composers such as Camille Saint-Saëns, Bach and Maurice Ravel.
The Rome Chamber Music Festival takes place in June, with a varied program combining the greatest masterpieces of chamber music with iconic works by American composers. From intimate classics to innovative interpretations, each concert celebrates the power of chamber music, its universality, its artistic richness and the lively dialogue that unites the musicians on stage.

The Rome Chamber Music Festival, founded in 2003 by Robert McDuffie, has been a great success with music lovers from the outset, establishing itself as one of the capital’s most eagerly-awaited cultural events. Every June, the Festival offers a rich and varied program of chamber music masterpieces, performed by internationally renowned artists and promising young talents. The Rome Chamber Music Festival is dedicated to nurturing new generations of musicians, rewarding their talent and achievements. Every year, it contributes to enriching the training of young musicians: from the United States, Europe, Italy and all over the world, all are welcome in Rome.

Emmy Award-winning violinist Robert McDuffie enjoys a multi-faceted career. An acclaimed soloist, he performs with renowned orchestras on five continents, and has also shared the stage with such eclectic musicians as R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills and Rolling Stones pianist Chuck Leavell. Philip Glass dedicated his Violin Concerto No. 2, “The Four American Seasons”, to him, and performed it over 100 times worldwide. Mike Mills composed for him a Concerto for violin, rock band and orchestra. In 2023, he received an Emmy Award for ” A Night of Georgia Music “, a program with Mike Mills, Chuck Leavell, a rock band and the McDuffie Center for Strings ensemble, currently broadcast on PBS in the USA. Alessandro Sacchetti, born in Rome in 2007, is currently enrolled in the Performance Diploma in cello at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, where he studies with Prof. Frans Helmerson. He began his musical training with Prof. Antonio Meneses, attending courses at the Stauffer Academy, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and the Biel Academy in Switzerland. In 2024, he was selected for several prestigious programs, including masterclasses at the Kronberg Academy with Prof. Julian Steckel, the Cello Akademie Rutesheim with Prof. Gustavo Núñez-where he performed at the Young Talents Final Concert-andthe Pavia Cello Academy with Prof. Enrico Dindo. He has also taken part in masterclasses with David Geringas, Mischa Maisky and Sol Gabetta. He studied at the Conservatorio G. Briccialdi Conservatory...

In 2022, she obtained a master’s degree in chamber music and harp with honors. She continued her studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, where she obtained a Master of Advanced Studies in Music Performance in May 2023. She continues to perform in Lugano, in regular collaboration with Ensemble 900. Her performances at the Trame Sonore International Festival in Mantua and at the 47th season of Musica in Villa at Villa Cagnola in 2024 are outstanding. She has won several prizes, including first prize for chamber music at the Liszt Danubia Talents 2022 International Music Competition with her Interludes en trio for flute, viola and harp.
