Ristretto

As part of Nouvelle Vague sul Tevere, the Paris+Rome twinning event, Villa Medici is pleased to host the Ristretto award ceremony. The Ristretto competition was created to promote a new generation of filmmakers, celebrating the Fémis and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Scuola Nazionale di Cinema, the leading film schools in France and Italy and two historic institutions committed to the training of young filmmakers, united in this unique competition held between Paris and Rome. The short film produced by the winner from La Fémis will be presented on this occasion. The Académie de France à Rome – Villa Médicis will be delighted to welcome the binational jury, chaired by Paolo Giordano, as well as the lead actor in the winning film.
