Anna Marziano, an internationally renowned Italian filmmaker, blends documentary and fiction to portray a woman and explore our relationship with future generations in a Venice threatened by rising sea levels.
Schiuma di Mondi won the 2026 Georges de Beauregard Prize at FID Marseille and the first prize in the IN/EMERGENZIA category at the 2025 Bellaria Film Festival.
The screening will be introduced by Cyril Neyrat, artistic director of FID Marseille, and will be attended by Anna Marziano.

Her daughter Lena (age 8) attends a multi-grade class at an elementary school with a total of seven students that is in danger of closing soon. This isolation drives the little girl to roam the island and come into contact with other forms of animal life that, like her, live between land and sea. And as the water level rises, both of them still have a lot to do…
