Allister Madin is a French dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. A former soloist with the Paris Opera before developing his career abroad, he is now a freelance artist, creating projects with numerous directors and producers.
He will be in Rome for the entire month of February as a guest teacher and assistant choreographer for La Bayadère. Bayadèresoon to be staged at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.
As part of his performance at Villa Medici, Allister Madin will be offering a storytelling dance in the heart of the historic rooms. From the Bayadère à Fokine’s Death of the Swan and Fokine’s Nijinsky’s L’après-midi d’un faune by Nijinsky, he will offer a personal rereading of the evolution of dance in the 20th century and explore its new forms.
