Young residents
The oldest of the French residences abroad is also the youngest! Two residency programs open the doors of Villa Medici to vocational and agricultural high school students, as well as young graduates in the arts.
The Résidence Pro and the Résidence de découverte x Fondation Culture & Diversité are aimed at different categories of young people, but have in common their format (a week’s immersion in Rome with a tailor-made program of activities) and their ambition (to enable young people to enjoy a unique experience of disorientation, wonder and exchange around their fields of study).

Every year, Villa Medici welcomes several hundred students from French vocational and agricultural high schools for a week-long discovery residency focusing on arts, techniques and crafts.

Fondation Culture & Diversité
As a partner of the Fondation Culture & Diversité, Villa Medici welcomes several young art school graduates each year for a week-long residency in contact with French and Italian professionals and cultural institutions.
