Profession: Architect Simon de Dreuille was born in 1980. He is an architect living and working in Paris. He has worked at AUC, with Djamel Klouche, Caroline Poulin and François Decoster, on urban and territorial issues as part of a forward-looking approach. He has collaborated with “Frog Magazine” as associate editor for architecture. He has taught at the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Paris Malaquais. PIANTE I PIANTE , which will lead to the creation of a map of the Roman metropolis, as a case study, focusing on the presence of plants and climate indicators. The city can no longer be described solely in terms of its form and classical representation – the plan or the map – but in terms of how it is inhabited, in the broadest sense of the term: how people live, work and move around, how they interact with people and objects. Everyday life takes place within urban continuums that are sufficiently coherent to be described and to escape anecdote, in which, in Rome in particular, and in all cities affected by the Mediterranean climate, plants can play a decisive role: domestic plants, the palms of villas in the countryside, the alignments of trees in the network of avenues…
