Profession: Filmmaker Nora Martirosyan, artist and filmmaker, is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Yerevan, Armenia (1996), her native country, the Gerriet Rietveld Academie (2001), Le Fresnoy and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Her films have been presented and awarded at numerous international festivals. A teacher at art schools and member of numerous juries, she is currently working on her first feature-length fiction film Territoria, to be shot in Nagorno-Karabakh. Her residency at Villa Médicis will be devoted to writing the film.
