Fabien Danesi

Profession: Art historian Born in 1975. With a PhD in contemporary art history, Fabien Danesi worked on the posterity of the Duchampian ready-made in the postmodern era as part of his thesis at the Université de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne), where he was a temporary teaching and research assistant for two years. He has just completed a book entitled “Le mythe brisé de l’Internationale situationniste” (The shattered myth of the Situationist International), published in autumn 2007 by Presses du réel, following research carried out with a grant from the Arts et sociétés seminar attached to the Centre d’Histoire de Sciences Po. His residency at Villa Medici provided an opportunity to deepen his study of the SI, focusing on the Italian section of this political and aesthetic avant-garde, as well as on Guy Debord’s cinema. He has also taught at the Universities of François Rabelais in Tours, Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens and Versailles Saint-Quentin-en -Yvelines.

Queste borse di studio sono destinate a ricercatori e ricercatrici affermati, francesi o stranieri, che desiderino recarsi a Roma per svolgere attività di ricerca.
