Biography

Edouard Ropars
Period: 2003-2004
Profession: Architect Born in 1973, he has been a DPLG architect since 2002. After studying science, he attended the Rennes and Paris-Belleville Schools of Architecture, then the
Technische Universität in Berlin; he was awarded an Erasmus scholarship in 1996 and won the
British Council Student Exchange Award in 1999. From 2003 to 2004, he was a resident at the Villa Médicis in Rome, and in 2008, he was Artist in Residence at the Villa Arson in Nice. Since March 2006, he has been a lecturer in the “Theory and Project” Master’s program at the École d’Architecture de la Ville & des Territoires, and since October 2009, he has been a guest lecturer in the “Design and Space” DNSEP program at the Ecole d’Art d’Annecy. In 2006, he joined forces with architect Julien Abinal, and in 2008 founded the Abinal & Ropars architectural practice in Paris. He lives and works in Paris and Berlin.
