From Ingres to Degas: French Artists in Rome Through this exhibition—exceptional in its scope and for the way it makes use of the Villa’s grand spaces—the Academy is collaborating for the first time, and very closely, with two Roman institutions: the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna and the Scuderie del Quirinale, which are organizing two complementary exhibitions, thus forming a triptych dedicated to the “Maestà di Roma” in 19th-century Europe. Scuderie del Quirinale: “Universale ed eterna.” Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna: “Capitale delle arti.”
