Giulio Paolini, *Quadrante*

Giulio Paolini’s work, presented at the Atelier du Bosco, is a new interpretation of the concept of the World’s Fair, as the artist has gradually defined it through his work. The space is geometrically structured, organized around the forms of the square, the line, and the circle. Twelve black frames occupy the back wall of the Atelier du Bosco, arranged symmetrically around the window, their geometric divisions contributing to the rhythm of the whole; the frames appear as symbols, traces of memory emerging from the grid of white squares. A circle is drawn on the floor, inside which stands an extendable easel; a Plexiglas cube rests on it, containing twelve white sheets of paper.
