Prune Delon

Prune Delon (Strasbourg, 2001) graduated in 2023 from the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design at the Institut Français de la Mode, after which she presented her collection at Paris Fashion Week. After six months in Schiaparelli’s embroidery department, she worked with designer Charles de Vilmorin on his mohair furs, which she developed by hand. A 6-month stay in northern India nourishes her research into natural dyes and artisanal know-how. Now based in Paris, she is developing a multidisciplinary practice combining textiles and painting.

Her work explores the link between nature, memory and the body, through animal figures and symbolic plant motifs. Listening to Genius Loci, each place shapes her practice: light, material and ritual gestures become witnesses, revealing a living relationship between the human and the sacred. In Rome, she will continue this research, approaching clothing as the starting point for a poetic creation based on volume, the body and presence – inhabited, suspended textile structures in dialogue with space and memory. “It’s in the doing that we find”, echoing Aristotle’s poesis: the very act of creating becomes revelation.
