Project

Her artistic practice will focus on investigating under-represented European shamanic practices in light of recent academic reappraisals of indigenous cosmologies and human-nonhuman relations. The aim is to critically assess the role of shamanism through experimental and expanded cinema. Blending artistic practice and research, anthropology and sensory ethnography, the research aims to provide new perspectives on shamanic worldviews and amplify under-represented voices. The residency will result in the first film of a trilogy and an artist’s book.
