Biography

Maylis de Kerangal is the author of novels and short stories, published by Éditions Verticales/Gallimard. These include Corniche Kennedy (2008), Naissance d’un pont (2010, Prix Médicis, Prix Franz Hessel and Premio Von Rezzori), Réparer les vivants (2014, Prix des Étudiants France-Culture Télérama and the Grand Prix RTL-Lire, translated into 40 languages and adapted for film and theater), À ce stade de la nuit, about shipwrecks in the Mediterranean, Premio Boccace, and Un monde à portée de main, a novel about doubles and creation. Her work is marked by the imprint of places, the use of detail, the human voice – Canoës (2021). In 2024, Jour de ressac was published, a novel about a return to Le Havre.
