Project

The Emperor on the Balcony is an animated short film project. It tells the story of a Roman army officer who does everything in his power to rise to power: he is an exemplary officer, adored by his soldiers. After winning a difficult battle against the barbarians, he manages to turn his soldiers against the current emperor. At the pinnacle of his quest, he is proclaimed Roman emperor in his own right. But just as he has reached his ultimate goal, at the pinnacle of power, he suddenly feels a profound emptiness that heralds his impending downfall.
