Lesley Loksi Chan (1978, Canada) is an artist and filmmaker. Her practice is concerned with questions of invisibility, believability and resistibility. Through handmade and process-based filmmaking, she creates moving images as mementos. Chan’s latest film, “Lloyd Wong, Unfinished” (2025), was awarded both the Golden Bear for Best Short Film and the Teddy Award for Best Short Film at the 75th Berlinale; the Best National Short/Medium Film at Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal; the Best Film Prize at Villa Medici Film Festival, and was selected for Toronto International Film Festival TIFF Canada’s Top Ten Short Films of 2025.
For her residency, Lesley Loksi Chan will be devoted to research for her new project on toy marbles, still photography and cameraless filmmaking.
