Biography

Isabelle Cornaro (1974) lives and works in Paris, Geneva and Amsterdam. Since the early 2000s, she has been developing an artistic practice concerned with issues of representation, perception and reproduction, exploring the relationship between object and image, original and copy, and notions of perspective and point of view. Recently, her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Musée de l’Orangerie (Paris, 2021), the Fondation d’Entreprise Ricard (Paris, 2021), the Ludwig Museum (Koblenz, 2021) and the Musée National d’Art Moderne for the Prix Marcel Duchamp (Paris, 2021). In 2024, it will also be exhibited at the Giuliani Foundation (Rome).

Project

Isabelle Cornaro is hosted at Villa Medici as part of the preparations for a solo exhibition at the Giuliani Foundation, due to open at the end of March 2024, focusing on several series of works not yet shown in Italy: Landscapes, Savannahs and Golden Memories.
