Soirée d'études

Cassiel Gaube

Romaeuropa 2025 Festival

25.09 - 26.09.2025

Marco Domage

Cassiel Gaube grounds his artistic practice in the vocabulary of House Dance. Inspired by Brazilian choreographer Bruno Beltrão (1979–) and American dancer and choreographer William Forsythe (1949–), he conceives Soirée d’études as a “pas de deux ou trois” or a genuine “soirée chorégraphique,” built around his favorite pieces of music. In music, an étude refers to a composition designed to explore the potential of a technique and to test its variations. Together with performers from the world of Street Dance, Gaube reveals and shares the distinctive lexicon of this practice, in which each codified step unfolds through the articulation of its possible variations.
