Villa Medici is hosting the Italian premiere of the film Nino (2025) by French director Pauline Loquès. Having been screened at various festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, the Rome Film Festival and the Warsaw Film Festival, and having been nominated for a César Award for Best First Film, the film is now being shown in Rome.
The screening will be presented by Pauline Loquès and the film’s lead actor, Théodore Pellerin, who recently won the César Award for Most Promising Actor for his role in Nino.
On the eve of his 29th birthday, Nino discovers that a simple sore throat is actually cancer, and that he’ll have to start chemotherapy in three days’ time. In this suspended time, we follow the protagonist across Paris as he tries to share this traumatic news with those closest to him, from his mother to his ex-girlfriend to his best friend.
