"Nine Jewelled Deer

Nine Jewelled Deer is an opera in development created by vocalist and improviser Ganavya Doraiswamyand composer Sivan Eldar and director Peter Sellars.

For their first musical laboratory, the team met for a week at Villa Médicis with three collaborators: Rajna Swaminathan (Mrudangam artist), Séverine Ballon (cellist), and Augustin Muller (computer music producer).

The end of the laboratory will be marked by a public restitution, in connection with the residents’ exhibition Una Linea storta tesa.
