The film Teeth Gums Machines Future Society (2016) by Lili Reynaud Dewar (La Rochelle, 1975; lives and works in Grenoble), shown in the Salle de Cinéma, examines, as does all the artist’s artistic research, identity and its social, historical and cultural stereotypes. The film is based on a 2016 performance in Memphis, Tennesee, where the author draws on the iconographic and iconological repertoire of twentieth-century liberation movements and subcultures to explore the rules and conventions that shape individual personalities.
