Art Club #10 Paola Pivi

Atelier du Bosquet houses two videos by Paola Pivi (Milan, 1971; lives and works in Anchorage and Milan). The first, entitled I wish I am fish (2009), was shot in Super 16 mm during a performance of the same name in New Zealand. The first version of the film was presented in Saint-Nazaire in 2009, while the second, in digital format, was shown in Trento (Italy) in 2009. The third version, for Villa Medici, was re-released in 2016 for the solo exhibition Ma’am in Dallas, courtesy of Dallas Contemporary. Paola Pivi considers this latest version to be the definitive version of her work. The other video, on the other hand, Jee haw (2015), was shot with a digital video camera, during her performance Yee Haw which took place on the Eiffel Tower in Paris in March 2015. During this performance, photos and a film were produced, which are being unveiled to the public today.
