Guided tours upon reservation

The French Academy in Rome offers the possibility of booking private guided tours without external participants to the group. These tours, lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes, allow visitors to discover the heritage of Villa Medici accompanied by a dedicated guide.

In the presence of temporary exhibitions, it is also possible to organize guided tours of these exhibitions.

Tours can be conducted in French, Italian, German, and English.

Private tours with your own guide, in the preferred language, can be arranged. In this case, the Academy will provide an attendant for the entire duration of the visit.

Organizational details:

Private tours can be arranged every day, except Tuesdays, from 8:00 to 18:30 during daylight saving time and from 8:00 to 16:30 during standard time.

Groups can consist of a maximum of 30 people, for larger groups it is possible to form multiple subgroups simultaneously.

Costs and payment methods:

Fee: €100 per group + €14 per participant (for groups of 5 people or fewer, a flat fee of €170 applies).

Confirmation of the reservation is subject to the prepayment of the amount through the online platform, via debit/credit card or bank transfer.

Reservations must be made at least 4 working days before the desired visit date for payments with debit/credit card; or at least 7 working days for payments via bank transfer. If you wish to offer your guests a private visit of the Villa with closed doors, it is possible to reserve a visit on Tuesdays; extra fees apply, please write to [email protected] for further information.
