Since 2010, the Villa Aperta festival aims to promote dialogue between the centuries-old French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici and the best of international music scene. The solemnity of the Renaissance palace and the heavenly tranquility of the Mediterranean gardens contrast with the artistic energy of the musicians, transcending eras and creating a unique atmosphere.
