Felipe Ribon and Nicolas Marischaël | Prix Liliane Bettencourt pour l’intelligence de la main

Felipe Ribon, designer, fellow at Villa Medici in 2012-2013, along with Nicolas Marischaël, silversmith, have win the Award “Prix Liliane Bettencourt pour l’intelligence de la main”, for their work Osmos.

Osmos is a perfume diffuser in solid silver. It contains fragrant molecules that are released when passing through the air. Once hanged, the mass of the object creates an inertia movement, strong enough to activate a rotation, allowing the air to circulate and release the perfume.

The object was designed for the exhibition Mutations at the Musée des Arts décoratifs until July 5. It illustrates the know-how of silversmithery associated with the innovative talent of design.
