Amélie Durand
Amélie Durand, born in 1988, is a poet.
Since childhood, she has been herself, but also many others: her sister, the florist, the police, the Salagou lake. Sometimes this amuses her, sometimes it depresses her. Refractory to any form of education, she was nevertheless forced by her aunt Sidonie to take finance and ballistics classes at Philippe Cadique primary schools in the Gard region. She was expelled at the age of seven for inventing the plasma slingshot with her classmates in CE1. From then on, she wrote sonnets purely out of a spirit of revenge.
Her project at Villa Medici
During her residency at Villa Medici, Amélie Durand will continue her work of poetic sabotage on Nadine de Rothschild’s etiquette manuals.
