Born of a wide collaboration between public and private institutions, Sara Sadik’s exhibition will then move to the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici, for this performance – with a second chapter of the exhibition – at the Kunsthalle Lissabon at the end of June 2023.

Conceived as an extension of the artist’s solo exhibition, Xenon Palace: Crystal Zastruga, currently on view at Basement Roma, Le cœur qui brûle, sentiments glacés evokes a path of exploration and discovery. Zetrei, the central character played by Émile-Samory Fofana, is a lone wolf who sets out to discover himself, in the snowy and suspended landscape of a video game, echoing the artist’s latest film. He translates his thoughts, feelings and memories into a journey of affirmation, identity and memory. Sara Sadik’s project will then be presented at Kunsthalle Lissabon at the end of June.

Sara Sadik (b. 1994) is an artist who lives and works in Marseille, France.
