European Heritage Days at Villa Medici

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici invites you to discover its Renaissance gardens: a journey through the artistic and heritage history of the Villa Medici.

Free access to the gardens, currently hosting two temporary installations:

• four wooden pavilions presented as part of the Villa Medici Festival des Cabanes
• two works by the artist and filmmaker Rosa Barba presented as part of the Art Club exhibition cycle, curated by Pier Paolo Pancotto

Guided tour of the Villa Medici’s gardens:

On 25 September is also organized a thematic guided tour of the Villa Medici’s gardens with a focus on its biodiversity. The tour takes place every hour and is free of charge (see below for the languages of the tours).

On the same day, a discount sale will be organized at Villa Medici with many catalogues and books at reduced prices.
